Cut out Animation
This is my first paper cut out stop-motion animation my classmate Igor and I made together. We started by drawing the flat characters of cat and bat on two different colour card, cutting them from card with bodies separated to let us shape more flexible movements to seem more natural. We set the phone camera directly above the work which we set up on the tiled ground, fit the size of background to the camera, moved the characters a little bit at a time and took a frame of each movement until the end of the story, we took 31 frame shot. Then, we used Stop Motion Studio software to finish it off and Igor added the music to the work. For me the result was more than expectation, as it seemed more difficult when we were been telling how to make it. As the first experience of stop-motion, it was fun as well and I enjoyed it.
